saturday morning mish-mash

It's Saturday. Thought I would take a few moments and blog....

                                                                      Folgers coffee commercial

Dontcha love these vintage coffee commercials? Jeff tooled off to work hours ago. I've fed the indoor/outdoor gang. Laundry is underway.

Not bad for a girl who woke up and thought upon waking, God, what's wrong w/me? I went to bed exhausted, but not sick. This morning I woke to a head that felt like it was weighted down, dizzy/off balance, congested, sore throat and now my voice comes and goes. What's up with this? This was NOT on my weekend agenda! SO my solution was French roasted coffee w/ an echinacea chaser, followed by a bowl of top Ramen chicken noodles w/ a splash of soy sauce, we'll see how this works out for me.

My neighborhood boys will be by later today as they've asked if they could rake leaves, our garbage was just picked up and hauled away-- apparently, it's a very busy day in the 'hood.

Yesterday morning, before leaving for work, I finished watching season 3 of Drop Dead Diva on Netflix. Bummer. Now, I am all caught up and have to discover another series to watch on Netflix. I loved the character of Jane... but, before I do that, I had  a brilliant idea, I went to Amazon and purchased season 4 to watch today, later on my PC, when I have time to finally collapse and give in to whatever it is that I have. Arrrrgh! Actually, the timing is good as Jeff took my jeep in to the shop to have the oil changed et al, so I am grounded at home anyway...

Our beautiful blue sky has given way to being overcast; rain was forecasted and looks (now) like that prediction may be right.

I also have 4 home interior design books to go through and tag for ideas I want to incorporate into our new design plan. While walking through our narrow L-shaped hallway,
I had an epiphany. I have a wall of double closet doors. One set has shelving. The other set has an upper shelf and enough space to place in one of my fav smaller French cabriolet legged sofa tables. We will be taking the doors off and utilizing this valuable and unused closet space. This way, I won't be crashing into hallway furnishings as I am now. The other walls will be taken up with family photographs, leaving plenty of walking space. Such a great solution.

Well, it's time to take linens out of the dryer and refill with another load. Whatever you do today, enjoy!
